Every Great Adventure... begins as a dream!
Inspiring Baby Boomers to get out there and see the world.Dream!
Go ahead; dream.
Dream of traveling to far off lands, experiencing new cultures, savoring incredible foods. Life is full of great adventures; propagated by nothing more than a dream.
Now is the time to bring your travel dreams to life! Start planning those trips you have always wanted to take but had to put off because of work or family obligations. Your kids are grown and you’re (hopefully!) an empty nester. You’ve either retired or plan to very soon. It’s time to see the world! It’s time for your next great adventure!
Sometimes those dreams come from places you would never expect. When I was in junior high school, I wrote a report on Greece. My poster had to include a picture, and I chose to draw the Parthenon. Why the Parthenon? It was mostly straight lines, so I could use a ruler! (My artistic abilities were, and still are, rather limited.) From that time on, I dreamed of visiting the Parthenon.
As it turned out, I did visit the Parthenon, many times. You see, I not only visited Greece, but lived there for nearly two years. Talk about a great adventure!

My Top Ten
Places to Visit
Egypt
There was not one place we visited in Egypt where I was not filled with wonder and amazement. Trust me, there is so much more to Egypt beyond the pyramids of Giza. Your trip should include Cairo, Giza, Memphis, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and, of course, a cruise on the Nile River. There is just so much to see and learn in this country. If Egypt is not on your bucket list, it absolutely should be. Hands down, my favorite destination… so far.
Easter Island
Yes, this is a difficult place to get to, but it was worth the effort. It was exactly as I imagined it would be. See the moai was simply magical. I kept waiting for this guy to blink. (I guess I went to the Enchanted Tiki Room at Walt Disney World one too many times!) The moai are found at sacred sites around the island. It’s truly fascinating to think of how they were made and then moved into place.
